Through The Porthole by Wodanislav Through The Porthole by Wodanislav
A shot taken inside my stepdads boat (which is also his home) I took several shots in this series, some with the focus on the porthole, some with the focus on the exterior.
I kinda like this one, dunno why, but it was hard to choose.
I got some interesting colour shots as well that only show the building's outside, and building reflections in the porthole glass. Might post another one later on.
Comments are welcome !!!

I really love this photo. I dunno what the colour ones look like but I love this sepia one. I actually think the lack of colour is really effective in this because it's a study of shape and light instead of details. The reflection in the hatch and the repetition of the circular shape is what makes this image I think. Very very nice!

There is no colour version :)
It was originally shot in sepia.
I've got some more shots in colour as well, but slightly different,
focussing more on the colours and difference in reflection.
For this shot I wanted to get the focus on the outside, making the
inside of the boat slightly hazy. I'm quite pleased with the result,
thanks for the reaction !

Like a view into another world. I especially like it a lot with the sepia tones it gives it something extra.

Oh I like all kinds of comments, both negative and positive,
that's the most important to me. If I only get constructive criticism I start
doubting myself hehehe. I need complete honousty :p Without that I can't
make any progress

True how ever negative comments are often just that. I mean you can say something you do not like in a nice manner too. Like that you can still learn without feeling bad or so. :lick:

That is best isn't it I mean I find it so silly when people just bash a work away. No reason. Of course you cant like everything and each genre luckily that makes us all a bit unique and creates differers.

Bashing is for loosers, there's nothing constructive about that

Heylaba!

Zeer mooie foto! Nu begrijp ik al meer je interesse in boten! :)

De compositie vind ik zalig, de sepia-achtige kleur, het onderwerp... Je kan er bijna nostalgie bij voelen ;)
